一 | Canberra, Oct 10 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Monday held broad ranging discussions with his Australian counterpart Penny Wong on the Ukraine conflict and its impact on the Indo-Pacific region.
The two addressed a joint press conference as they held the 13th India-Australia Foreign Ministers' Framework Dialogue here.
"We have discussed Ukraine and its repercussions in the Indo Pacific region, the progress in Quad, G-20 issues, our trilateral, some things related to IAEA and climate finance sustainable development goals," Dr Jaishankar said.
Wong said India and Australia should resolve issues in the Indo-Pacific region together.
"We spoke about a whole lot of issues -- trade, economy, education, defence and security, clean energy and among the many agreements and understandings we reached. It is in our mutual interest to expand the diplomatic footprint in each other's country," Jaishankar said.
During the 13th Foreign Ministers Framework Dialogue, the two Ministers took stock of the steady progress of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including important Ministerial visits in recent months and agreed to work closely together in Quad, trilaterals, G20, UN and other important forums.
"India and Australia are comprehensive strategic partners. We are Quad partners. We partner in many other ways... We don't want to see any country dominating and any country being dominated," said Wong.
Wong announced that Australia was looking to open a consulate general in Bengaluru "sometime next year."
The visit by Dr Jaishankar is his second to Australia this year. He came in February 2022 to attend the Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting in Melbourne.
Dr Jaishankar also met Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles.
"Exchanged views on regional and global security. Our growing defence and security cooperation ensures a peaceful, prosperous and rules based Indo-Pacific," he tweeted.
UNI ASU MR。 As speculation continues around who will take over the iconic role of James Bond after Daniel Craig’s exit, Shah Rukh Khan has finally reacted to the much-discussed question, could Bollywood’s biggest superstar ever slip into the 007 tuxedo? The actor, who is gearing up for his next film King, shared his thoughts during a conversation with BBC News India while in London for the unveiling of a bronze statue alongside his Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge co-star Kajol.

Craig’s retirement after No Time To Die has reignited global curiosity about the next face of the franchise. With names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Callum Turner leading the race for the role. So, when SRK was asked whether he would consider the role, his answer was equal parts humorous and humble.
“No, I don't have the accent,” he laughed, adding, “I don't like shaken martini either.” Reflecting on his relatively late entry into action cinema, he joked that it was Kajol who unknowingly delayed his action phase. “I was always wanting to do an action film, but then Kajol was in my life, and you can't do action films when Kajol is acting opposite you. So I did all the romantic films!” Kajol playfully reminded him that he worked on many films without her, too, but SRK maintained that their iconic pairings defined a generation.

The actor was open about the notion of Bond, even if he acknowledged that he enjoyed his recent action parts. "I don't know about James Bond, but Sean Connery for sure, yeah!" he said, expressing his respect for the renowned original 007.
Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig are among the actors who have starred in the James Bond series. The franchise is going through a change right now. The next instalment will be directed by Denis Villeneuve.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan continues to dominate Bollywood. He is currently getting ready for King, which will be released in 2026 and co-star his daughter Suhana Khan, after winning a National Award for Jawan. Also Read: PHOTOS: Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Inaugurate DDLJ-inspired Statue in Leicester。
